Elise

Elise completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and Doctor of Philosophy (Psychology; PhD) at the University of Adelaide. She previously worked as a psychology lecturer, program coordinator, and researcher and has published research in health psychology. Elise is undertaking her final placement with the team at Southern Psychologists as part of her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at Adelaide University.

Elise is warm, relational, and client-centered. Her approach is neuroaffirming, trauma-informed, and focused on creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and able to explore at their own pace. She collaborates with clients to tailor therapy to their unique history, strengths, and goals, drawing on evidence-based modalities including ACT, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, chair work, and elements of schema therapy.

Elise works with clients across the lifespan. She has particular interests in trauma and attachment, perinatal mental health, chronic health conditions, ADHD, and Autism.
