Farahnaz Haidari

Provisional Psychologist (Student Placement)

Farahnaz is a Provisional Psychologist currently completing her placement with the team at Southern Psychologists as part of her Master of Professional Psychology at Flinders University. She completed her Bachelor of Psychological Studies (Graduate Entry) and Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at Flinders University.

Farahnaz is committed to creating a warm, compassionate and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, respected, and heard. She values building strong therapeutic relationships and works alongside clients to understand their unique experiences, strengths and goals. Her approach is client-centred and informed by evidence-based practice, drawing primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) while incorporating mindfulness and other therapeutic strategies tailored to each client's needs.

Farahnaz has an interest in working with children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan. She enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences and is committed to providing inclusive client-centered and neuroaffirming care. Farahnaz values working collaboratively with clients to understand their unique experiences, build on their strengths, and support them in working towards their personal goals.
