Cancellations

NDIS Participants

In line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (2024–25), we reserve the right to charge 100% of the session fee for Short Notice Cancellations.
A cancellation is considered "Short Notice" if:

Less than two (2) clear business days' notice is given,

The participant does not attend the scheduled appointment, or

The participant is not present at the agreed time and location.

Example:
For a 10:00am Tuesday appointment (following a Monday public holiday), cancellation must occur before 10:00am on the previous Thursday.

Waiving the Cancellation Fee:

If the session is rescheduled promptly without altering your ongoing booking schedule, or

If the cancelled time is filled by another client.

Southern Psychologists reserves the right to review service provision if cancellations become frequent or disruptive. Extenuating circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Director.

Private and Medicare Clients

Private and Medicare clients who cancel with insufficient notice may incur an administrative cancellation fee.

If no notice is given and the appointment is unattended, the full session fee may apply.

Medicare rebates are not applicable to cancellation fees.

Waiving the Cancellation Fee:

If the appointment is rescheduled within a reasonable timeframe, or

If the time slot is filled by another client.

Clients preferring flexible arrangements may opt for our casual booking list (no recurring bookings, appointments arranged individually).
Persistent cancellations impacting service provision may result in discontinuation of services at the discretion of the Director.
